24 JunHow to make the most out of quarantine?
Quarantine has overshadowed our daily routine. Especially for students enrolled for a degree in bachelors the times are unprecedented. Students around the globe, homebound for months, are challenged with the lack of focus, and a career ahead.
Prior to the pandemic, an escape to a coffee shop was an easy fix to the stress for exams like BBA and MPhil, but now we are readjusting to a new normal where the situation has reversed: there is all the free time and studying home is the only option.
While it was all fun in the beginning, students across the globe have started to wonder what their future would look like. Many of the students of Lahore universities have started to seek online solutions and regularly opt for virtual courses to keep up the pace with their education.
In light of that, this article reviews a few tips that can help every student make the most out of quarantine:
1. Reflect:
While you may not have your routine and the same resources during the quarantine, it is important to review what you learned so far and identify things that you can do differently to move forward. Reflect on what your previous study schedule was like. Was your previous learning technique effective? What do you find the most difficult in your computer science, business management, or MBA courses?
Once you have that all listed you can develop a new weekly planner to improve your schedule and lift yourself out of the study slump.
2. Get Ahead
For anyone who always wanted to improve but couldn’t find the time to focus between the fast-paced routine can use the quarantine period as the best opportunity to catch up on learning you might have fallen behind on. Start reading and investing more time on the courses you were lagging behind on.
3. Take Advantage of the Internet
Even though your teacher and friend may not be around during quarantine, you can take lots of support from online courses and online classes. Get in touch with your institution’s online resources, connect with online education groups, and explore relevant material or videos on courses relevant to yours. There is really nothing we can’t do online today.
4. Be Realistic
While it is important to focus and keep yourself on track for the future, be sure to set goals that you can truly achieve. If you plan on allotting a maximum chunk of your day to studying you may fall short and lose motivation. Leave enough time to recharge yourself both physically and mentally. After all, these are hard times.
